Author and journalist Nick Bryant has documented the pattern and cover-up of child abuse networks for years and has written extensively on childrens issues, including co-authorship of Americas Children: Triumph or Tragedy, a book on the plight of disadvantaged children in America. Since the 1980s, he has uncovered child abuse networks in the U.S., their patterns, the unfortunate treatment of victims by law enforcement, and their cover-ups.

He says the recent announcement that alleged child sex abuser Coach Jerry Sandusky can have a local jury (see: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2012/football/ncaa/02/13/jerry.sandusky.ap/index.html) at his request is not unusual, as investigations into these types of matters tend to favor the influential abuser.

The child abuse scandals at Penn State, Syracuse University, Brooklyns Poly Prep Country Day School, Fenway Park, and the AAU, just like many others, all have intimations of a cover-up, Bryant writes.

Bryants book, THE FRANKLIN SCANDAL(http://www.franklinscandal.com), thoroughly documents a nationwide pedophile ring that pandered children to a cabal of men with power and prestige. Hes also investigated the case of Palm Beach billionaire Jeffrey Epstein (see: http://www.kreweoftruth.com/web/data/documents/USATodayJan2012.pdf), who originally got a very lenient sentence from both Florida State and the US Justice Department even though law enforcement was aware of more than 40 victims. The reality is that many perpetrators are not shady men in dirty, threadbare trench coats living in seedy hotels, but are, in fact, pillars of our community, wrote Bryant in the USA Today article. Mr. Bryant can discuss the profile of pedophiles, their networks, the unfortunate but consistent inaction of community and government institutions, and what it will take for our society to face these facts and related embarrassments, instead of heaping more abuse upon victims.
