Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, located in Park Ridge Illinois, planned its tremendous fundraiser to raise funds to support the Lutheran General Oncology Research and Education Endowment, which has produced medical advancements and breakthrough cancer care.

Recognizing that every good event needs great music, Advocate Lutheran General Hospital sought to find the most professional and avant-garde orchestra to work with for their November 19th, 2011 event called, Winners Circle Gala: Derby For Life. Working very closely with Advocate Lutheran General Hospital, Glen Traeger personally prepared a list of songs, artists and genres the gala committee wished to play at the event. At the gala, some of hospitals most prominent physicians were reported to have been dancing to the music, and enjoying the music tremendously.

Event guests were heard raving about the orchestra saying that they never enjoyed themselves as much as they did the night of the Advocate Lutheran General Hospital benefit. The Glen Traeger Orchestra played a wonderful mix of music from all decades and genres with incredible feeling and emotion. This type of musical performance gives whole new meaning to events and galas and creates an unparalleled dancing experience for any type of crowd to enjoy. The Advocate Lutheran General Hospital event consisted of over 600 plus guests at The Arlington Racetrack on November 19, 2011 and raised over $ 250,000 dollars in charity.

I am so happy that my orchestra was given the opportunity to participate in such a benevolent endeavor. My band, many of whom have family members and close friends suffering from cancer, found this specific project very dear to their hearts. At the event, Glen Traegers music was simply unmatched and easily got the crowd up and dancing throughout the night. I am so proud to be part of such a philanthropic gala.
